Get comfortable. Get creative. Get recording.
This 2-hour, hands-on session led by our Studio Director, Jason Wegfahrt, is designed to get you fully dialed in on how to operate The Foundry’s Production Suites—from setting up to punching in. Whether you're a freelance producer, engineer, or artist looking to record yourself, this crash course will walk you through the gear, the workflow, and the mindset needed to run your sessions efficiently and professionally.
You'll learn how to confidently use the Cranborne 500R8 interface, understand how it's patched and routed, and how to record clean, pro-level audio with it. We’ll also cover how Pro Tools and Logic Pro X are configured across the rooms and how to work within the suite ecosystem for writing, overdubs, comping, editing, and self-recording.
What You'll Learn:
Signal flow and operation of the Cranborne 500R8
What each module does (Neve 1073LBs, SSL EQ, RND 542, Bricklane Compressors)
How to track vocals, instruments, and overdubs in the suites
Pro Tools I/O and Logic Pro X setup and session templates
Proper monitoring with the Barefoot Footprint03s
Self-recording vs engineer-assisted workflows
Do’s and don’ts when working in the Production Suites
Normally, a one-on-one session covering this material would cost ~$250 per person, but this group workshop gives you the same insider knowledge for a fraction of the price—plus the added benefit of community learning and real-time Q&A.
Whether you're prepping for your first session in the suites or just want to unlock their full potential, this workshop will leave you confident and ready to create.
