Thank you for your interest in working with The Foundry Recording Studio.

Our business model is built around partnering with independent contractors to fulfill client needs. We’ve chosen not to hire staff engineers, producers, or musicians because we believe we can better serve our clients by having a wider reach across genres, specialties, and skill sets. A larger, more diverse roster allows us to play “matchmaker,” pairing each client with the right person for their project rather than being locked into one particular sound or approach.

All contractors at The Foundry set their own rates. When we hire a contractor for a project that The Foundry brings in, the studio retains a 20% management fee based on the contractor’s declared rate. This fee helps cover the time and work we invest in artist consultations, pre-session planning, and support. There is no fee when a contractor rents the space for their own clients; the 20% fee only applies to projects booked by The Foundry.

This form is a preliminary intake questionnaire designed to gather information about your skills, experience, and availability. Completing this form does not grant contractor status, guarantee a response, or promise any work. It is intentionally detailed so we can determine whether there’s a strong fit for future projects.

We aim to build a balanced roster by finding people who specialize in different genres for each role. If there are too many applicants in one or more categories, we will let you know if that area is currently full. We may also close or remove this application at any time if our roster reaches capacity.

At The Foundry, we are deeply grateful for your interest. We love the Lehigh Valley and are committed to making it a nationally recognized hub for music, creativity, and collaboration. Our mission is simple but powerful: For the Community. By the Community. We’ve built a space where artists, engineers, producers, songwriters, and music lovers can come together to create without limits — with professional facilities, accessible resources, and an inclusive culture that welcomes all genres and backgrounds.

If you share our vision and values, we look forward to learning more about you.-The Foundry Team
